The Cowboys have always had some of the best coaches in the history of the NFL. Tom Landry is a Hall of Fame coach and Jimmy Johnson won numerous Super Bowls and is a main stay in the heart and minds of Dallas fans everywhere. Bill Parcells will surely be a first ballot Hall of Famer in the coming years but Wade Phillips is a different breed of coach. He is a player's coach something the Cowboys have not had since Johnson and Barry Switzer back in the 1990's. Wade Phillips has a sound head coaching record spending time with the Saints, Broncos, Bills and Falcons. Phillips stepped away from head coaching in 2003 and became the defensive coordinator for the San Diego Charges. Phillips helped construct what is one of the best 3-4 defense today and will bring this exact philosophy with him to the Dallas Cowboys. Dallas's defense should improve under Phillips, the 3-4 guru but what we can also count on is an improved Tony Romo and Dallas offense.
