There are some new rules coming to the fore in the NFL Playoff schedule, which basically state that all teams who have the highest number of wins at the end of the regular season will be the teams that get awarded a first-round bye week and of course home-field advantage. So this could eradicate some teams who prefer to bench most of their starting players once they have been made aware that they are going to the NFL Playoff Schedule. What teams could I be talking about? Well for one, everybody remembers a few years ago when the Colts went 13-3, they lost three because Tony Dungy benched most of his players, including Manning and Harrison, so they would stay healthy into the NFL Playoff schedule. At any rate, they may not have had home field advantage, if say the Chargers were to do better at the end of the season—giving both teams a more fair shot at making the NFL Playoff Schedule. Hopefully they will change the overtime rules soon to mimic the NCAA overtime rules, and then we would be somewhere!
