<--Montana and Young feud

Feuds in all sports help drive competition. They are great and can be between teams, conferences or players. I wanted to list some of the greatest feuds seen through the history of the NFL playoff schedule and NFL Super Bowl so here is a list of my favorites below:

New England Patriots and Chicago Bears - Most recently seen, these two eastern teams have always had it out for each other. When they finally faced each other in last season’s NFL Super Bowl the underdog came out the victor.
American League and National League – It is natural that each side of the coast thinks they have the best teams. This competition led the NFL to create the NFL Super Bowl to crown a season winner.
Raider Nation and the NFL – The Raiders have positioned themselves against every other player and team in the NFL, too bad they haven’t had the talent to back up their claims in years. Forget about cheering for the away team in Oakland.
Steve Young and Joe Montana – Two of the best quarterbacks in NFL history who both played for the San Francisco 49ers. You can bet that each wanted to be called the best.
